Redang trip
Thursday, June 14th, 2007Redang is so beautiful…the clear blue ocean, the green green hills that surrounds the island was a feast for my eyes. Personally i don’t know how to swim but when i was there i couldn’t care less. I was all geared up to enjoy my holiday to the fullest. it’s was an exhilirating experience! i finally learned how to snorkel…haha =)
I totally left all my problems behind and enjoyed myself! The only thing i dread about the trip was the bus! i swear if i were to sit that bus any longer my back would break!! Do you have any idea what 8-9 hours of sitting in the bus did to my back…it took me around 2-3 days to recaver from my backache. I’m starting to think i’m getting old too soon. Hehe =P
Besides the bus trip, everything was just fine. i went sunbathing under the sun (with clothes on, of course!), participated in as many snorkelling trips as i can, played pool with my cuzzies, learn how to play darts and ping-pong. Oh yea…yes, i just found out that ‘More More Tea Inn’ or fondly known as ‘mo mo cha’ is actually in Redang. If you have no idea what i’m babbling to you about, then i’ll just brief you through. This tea house was actually built for a movie (which i can’t exactly remember the name…sorry) but it was a summer holiday movie which was quite popular at that time. I can’t remember that well, but i think that the actor was Richie Ren and Sammi Cheng. It was a total cheesy love story! and i love it! The tea house has been made into a souvenier shop which is a waste espewcially since it’s so cute and cosy.
The hotel i stayed in wasn’t exactly 5 star rating…but a comfortable and cosy setting for my family to enjoy ourselves. The name was RedangKalong resort. The atmosphere was just nice and quiet …i really loved to take my time indulging in novels while enjoying the sea breeze…sipping orange juice, ah…that’s the life! Besides that, i was proud to try all the stuff i didn’t try before…it was great! I might not be too good at swimming but i was thankful that there were hotel staffs that could swim like a fish. i meant what i said…they swim really well! Thanks to them i got the chance to venture into deeper areas to feast on the colourful corals and fishes…it was all mother nature’s masterpieces. i even spotted a sea turtle…very lucky for me! I’m sure everyone had as much fun as i had during the trip.
I’ll be definitely looking forward to the next one!! Hmm…about the photos i’ll keep you updated when i get them from my cuzzie! Thanks for reading my blog!
